Stains for Floor Color

The primary stains we use on floors are waterborne acrylic. This stain is for concrete surfaces and is water submersible, alkali, weather and UV light resistant. These stains require a top coat and are compatible with solvent based, water-based, single and two component products, including but not limited to urethane’s, acrylics and epoxy clear sealers.

There are three primary series to obtain a wide aray of effects.

Classic Series: Can be used for applications that range form high hide to transparent variegated appearance.

Old World Series: Remain transparent even with multiple coats and appear very similar to acid stains.

Bright Light Series: High Chroma, intense colors for accenting or artistic differentiation.

We apply the floor color using a mix of stain and base boost. The base boost is an additive which promotes substrate adhesion for base or primary colors as well as increases durability of the stains. The stain has a modified acrylic carrier, but adding base boost into the concentrate produces an additional bond.

Quality Concrete Floor Polishing has the ability to use other products but recommends the above stains for adding color and restoring your concrete to new levels. Ask to see the colors and options we can bring to your new commercial or residential project.
